Abstract Submission- General Rules

 

You are cordially invited to send your abstract to the 13th MacroMolecular Complexes, MMC-13.

Please read carefully the following guidelines before submit the abstract.

 

Deadline for abstract submission :June 30, 2009

All symposia will include Plenary lectures, Invited lectures, Oral communications, and Poster sessions.

The MMC-13 scientific committee will evaluate the submission and select a limited number of abstracts for 20 minutes Oral communication (discussion included). Poster Sessions are very important and integral part of the congress and they will be given ample space and time every day during lunch time and in the late afternoon. The posters will be exhibited during all Symposium.

Participants are kindly invited to submit the abstract suggesting the topic and type of presentation.

 

Abstracts in both, doc and pdf file, may submitted by e-mail to
 
mmc13-chile@udec.cl (as explained below).

 

Please, do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract. Abstract sent by, mail or fax will not be accepted. In case of difficulties please contact the Organising Secretariat.

After evaluation and approval by the MMC-13 scientific committee, the authors will be notified of the detailed arrangements.

Please, be aware that each presenting author must be registered to the Congress. Only the abstracts of authors who have been registered and paid the registration fee according to the deadline will receive final acceptance and will be included in the final programme and book of abstracts.

 

Abstracts must contain original investigations. The responsibility for the abstract content is solely of the author(s). The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.

 

Information about the acceptance of the abstract will be sent to the submitting author by e-mail in August 7, 2009.

 

 

 

Abstract Submission Guidelines.

 

Abstracts must be written in English using the Abstract Template provided in the web page of the Symposia.

Please indicate the title of the topic where you would like to submit your abstract, indicating its number (see the numbering), and supply three keywords for the index.

The abstract has to be submitted as both “authorlastname.doc” and “authorlastname.pdf” file; if the same author submits more than one abstract, numbering should follow the author last name.

To generate the pdf file you may use Acrobat Distiller.

 

 

 

The maximum extension of the abstract is strictly limited to one letter page. Take care of this while choosing possible tables or images. All abbreviations must be defined before being used in the text. References should be restricted to those necessary for the comprehension of the abstract. Reference numbers should be placed at the appropriate point(s) in the text.

 

Formatting

 

Font to be used: Times New Roman

Type size: 14 for title, 12 for authors and text, 10 for references.

Style: bold for title, plain for authors and text, italics for affiliation.

Alignment: justified.

Line Spacing: single; margins: Right, top and bottom: 2 cm.;  left : 3 cm

 

Title

 

The title should be written in capitals using Times new Roman font, type size 14.

Elsewhere sentence capitalization should be used through, i.e. authors, keywords

 

Authors

Author(s) name should be written using Times new Roman font, type size 12, in the following way first author (name last name); second author (name last name).

Please, underline the presenting author. Affiliation First author (Institution, City, Country); Affiliation Second author (institution , city , country).

Text of the abstract.

 

Although presentation of published results would be important for discussions, incorporating new results is highly encouraged.

The text should include.

Objectives, Methods, Results and Discussion, Acknowledgements, References (maximum 2 references).
